After 22 years, the National Aquarium’s travelator is approaching its end of life and it’s time to say final goodbyes.
The National Aquarium team has made the decision to extend solid flooring throughout the whole Oceanarium tunnel, instead of spending significantly more money that would be needed to upgrade it.
These works will start on Friday 9 August and will take about three weeks. In recognition that the Oceanarium tunnel will be inaccessible while the work is being done, a 20% discount on general admission entry will be offered while the work is going on.
The new flooring allows the team to introduce new events and offerings in the tunnel. Ideas include ‘canapes and bubbles under the sea’ on Valentines night, yoga-in-the-tunnel, and more. Keep an eye on our website or e-newsletters to stay updated!
The travelator is known as a favourite of many customers, so come along and say your goodbyes before 9 August!
