Conservation Activities

The National Aquarium has a strong commitment to protecting the Earth’s biodiversity and habitats.  With on-going conservation projects and public events, we work with other providers to undertake our guardianship role as Te Whare Tangaroa O Aotearoa.

Some of our activities include:

Seaweek

7-14 March 2010

While the essential theme of Seaweek continues with the call for each and every one of us to take responsibility for the seas around us - "It Starts With Me" - in 2009 we will be thinking particularly about what lies under the surface.

Conservation Week

NZ Frog Week

Frog Week is a week when you can learn about our native frogs, how important they are to New Zealand’s natural heritage and what you can do to help protect them.
